Hey, I'm fairly computer savvy and I did an insane amount of research before buying this motherboard. 20+ hours of comparing specs, reading reviews, etc for motherboards alone. Hopefully I can save you a lot of time by summarizing what I found.First, don't be scared off by people saying they get motherboards that arrive dead. I've built multiple computers using a variety of parts from Amazon and have yet to receive a faulty piece of equipment. In nearly all of the reviews I've read, Amazon is am ... azing in quickly sending you a replacement part for something that doesn't work. I've been using this motherboard for a couple months now and it works flawlessly.Second, remember to buy a 64bit operating system if you wish to use more than 4GB of RAM. Many people order this motherboard with 8GB of RAM and are disappointed when their old Windows XP 32 bit, or previously purchased Windows 7 32 bit operating system can't utilize more than 4 gigs. I'm not sure if the power supply was the issue or the wiring of the pins to the board, but it took a couple attempts and 2 power supplies to get up and running. I dont understand why the power pins on all mother boards are different... ALL CASES AND ALL MOTHERBOARDS should agree on a single pin setup (like USB and 1394 ports are), so that its a simple plug to hookup and not 8 individual wires... I've been building PCs for more than 10years this still boggles my mind no one has a standardized pi ... n setup for the case front power connections! Otherwise the MOBO works great, several options, I built this as a christmas gift to replace my mothers old single core AMD I built her 4-5years ago... When upgrading Motherboards be sure to check your POWER SUPPLY plus see if its 20 or 24pin. I even forgot to check on this build and ended up ordering a PS that I had not planned on buying. More >

I am just going to tell you the only bad thing about this motherboard is that you can only install 1 graphics card in it....8gb of ram is just more that enough for gaming because I have no seen any game that uses more than 3.5gb of ram.Another thing is that even if the computer is turned off and the power plug is plugged then the motherboard delivers power to the usb ports....but thats not a big deal because I always turn off my multiplug off after I am done using my computer. This motherboard ha ... ve a great overclocking software in it that lets you overclock your cpu from desktop or from the bios. There is also another software that lets you monitor your cpu wattage. The same utility lets you change your cpu fan speed...I installed my cpu, graphics cards, ram, hdd, and dvd drive and it was working well... I been using it for 2 week and no problems so far.I am happy with this purchase and I just hope it lasts long.Hope this review helped. More >
